Mr. Sunil Basakhetre is a distinguished alumnus from Mumbai University, holding a Masters of Labour Studies (MLS) from the esteemed 1982 batch. He brings a wealth of diverse experience from various industry verticals, which provides him with a unique and fresh perspective on the intricacies of labour law.
Mr. Basakhetre commenced his illustrious career as an HR Manager within the hospitality industry. This early exposure was instrumental in familiarizing him with the various nuances of payroll management, industrial relations, and comprehensive employee management. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a profound passion to build something of his own, he founded his dream venture – Classic Labour, in the pivotal year of 1988.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Basakhetre embarked on his journey as a consultant adviser, covering the entire gamut of labour laws for corporate entities, including personnel management, industrial relations, intricate union negotiations, and diverse human resource functions. Under his dynamic leadership, Classic Labour has consistently grown in both volume and stature. Today, the company proudly stands having completed over 25 years of dedicated labour law compliance practice. His profound legal acumen led to his appointment as a Sr. Counsel by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.
